July 4th and practice?????
Practice will occur at the regular times on July 4th but do not change your plans to make practice. If you planned on taking part in the Bel Air (or anywhere else for that matter) festivities do it.
A note about home meets
I know we only have one more left but….a few things need to be mentioned. We are not the only thing going on at the pool during a meet. Please refrain from using the upper rec pool and if at all possible leaving bags on the chase lounges and tables facing the upper rec pool. Some lap swimmers prefer coming to swim laps during our meets so that they do not have to deal with other people. We need to leave them some space. We also need to leave space for the visiting team. If possible double up bags on chairs especially since you are not sitting in them most of the time since you are all up cheering on your team. If everyone does this it goes a long way. Also regardless of home or away please police your area and clean up your trash.
HSL Championship Entries.
I do not have a price per event yet. I will let you know when I have that. The entry spreadsheet will be placed in the HSL entry mailbox tomorrow. You may circle up to 3 individual events you wish to swim. Relays will be decided by me. Money for entry fees will need to be placed in my box (check made out to BAACPO preferred or cash). Entries and money are due JULY 12th.
You must meet the following requirements to enter this meet (these are league rules) Swum in 4 dual meets during the season and have a legal time in that event from one of the 8 scheduled dual meets.
For those new or whom may have forgotten. This meet is July 19th and 20th and divided into 3 sessions.
On July 19th in the AM all the 10 under events for those with entry times 19 and below. Session 2 in the PM are the 11 and older events for entry times 19 and below. Session 3 is on July 20th in the AM for all ages entry times 1-18. You will not know which session until after all 12 teams entries have been compiled on Tuesday July 15th. If you have questions about this or want need more clarification see me. I can not enter you however to swim on Saturday if your times qualify you for Sunday. Sometimes some families end up at all three sessions (see the Ehrhardts and St. Cyrs they have a lot of experience with this).
Awards for each session are done separately so there is a first place for Saturday and a first place for Sunday.
